LawSignal provides legislation tracking, alerts, and related tools; it is not a substitute for professional legal advice.

2. Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use LawSignal in line with your subscription or trial. This is a license, not a transfer of title, and you may not:

  • • Modify, copy, or create derivative works of the software or content except as permitted in writing
  • • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the platform without our consent
  • • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the source code of LawSignal except where prohibited by law
  • • Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • • Use the service to build a competing product or to scrape or exploit our data at scale in breach of these Terms

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to LawSignal (for example, notes or integration metadata). You grant us a license to use that content as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use LawSignal:

  • • In any way that violates applicable law or regulation
  • • To send unsolicited bulk communications without permission
  • • To impersonate LawSignal, our staff, or another person or entity
  • • In any way that is fraudulent, harmful, or infringes the rights of others

6. Service Availability

We strive for reliable availability of LawSignal but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LawSignal and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim, where applicable.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for conduct that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or harms the service or other users. You may stop using LawSignal at any time subject to your subscription terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page and, where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example by email or in-product notice).
